Hi, all! This is my first trip to Japan in October and I'm fairly new to this subreddit, so apologies if much of this information is already answered. We are landing in Narita at around 4 p.m. and are staying at an AirBnB in Ikebukuro. We were thinking of taking the Narita Express, but looking on the site, I have two concerns:
* It seems like you can only get a round trip ticket that expires after 14 days? We will be there for 16 days.
*It seems like you have to buy the ticket one month ahead of time? You can't just buy them when you get there?
For reference, we are not planning on getting the JR Pass, as the cost would not be justified for where we are planning on going. We will probably use Suica and SmartEX, although I admittedly know little about them.
We are planning on taking the Narita Express to Tokyo Station and then transferring to a taxi. Does this make sense? Would it make more sense to take the Skyliner and then transfer to a line that goes to Ikebukuro? Our concern here is that we would have too much luggage and it would be rush hour.
Any advice is much appreciated – thanks!
