I promise that I have done my research but I am feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. I'm traveling to Japan for the first time next month (it's a work trip but my husband is coming along). My work is in Tokyo but we are planning to spend a few days in Kyoto. I am trying to buy train tickets with oversized bags because our bags are larger and I don't think we could lift them high (not because they are so heavy but because we are in our 50s 🙂 ). When trying to book it will not take any of the credit cards I tried (AMEX, Chase Reserve, Visa debit card). I am not sure what to do. Many seats are already sold out (September 22nd) so waiting until we are there to purchase does not seem like a good option. I love the idea of forwarding our bags but we are only in Kyoto for three days. Should we just skip travelling to Kyoto? Thank you for any assistance.
