Basically, the situation is that I was quiet fired from a part-time job that actually carried some prestige and would look useful for internships. I only found out because a sympathetic insider told me off the record that the company had decided I wouldn’t get any more work and wouldn’t inform me about it. Basically a quiet firing. There was no paperwork, no email, no official word. technically there’s no record of me being fired.
I was ofc really stunned and sad at first, but maybe there’s a silver lining? Since nothing was official, I could still call myself that job title on paper. I did do the work, got paid, gained actual work experience.
Now my actual income comes from working night shifts at a combini (which I don't want to mention but keep it as a main source of income, pay was surprisingly pretty decent too) , but the other job obviously looks way better for internships and applications.
So can I still call myself that “prestigious” part-time job on a résumé while secretly working at the convenience store, or is that pushing it too far?
