Okay, so there is a lot to unpack.
I have been working in Osaka for over 1.5 years as an "International Sales" (Company title) with a company since I graduated Uni. During the interviews, I was assured it is a desk/office job that consists mostly of sales duties, emails, calls etc. However, since the 1st week, things have been vastly different. I am now basically a sales person doing PHYSICAL sales of products, Office worker (cleaning and maintaining the whole building among other jobs) and every Monday and thursday I am a manual labor from 2 am to 1 pm in the noon due to shipping. I am a female in my 20s and trust me when I tell you I am weak. Now I have to carry 20 kg boxes for 60-80 times every monday and thursday.
I know my company shouldn't make me do assembling, packing or any manual labor on this visa but THIS IS JAPAN and my company is fully exploiting their Japaneseness.
Anyway, I want to quit ASAP as my health has Massively declined last 2 months. I have broken my left arm carrying, pulling and pushing those boxes but my company says its not that serious, even with a doctor's note. If I take a day off due to work injuries, they let me take day off but it costs me 10,000 yen a day of absence. I do all the treatments with my own money and it has been expensive.
Like I said, I want to swtich jobs but I don't think I can keep doing this job until I find a new job. I am seriously holding on with my last bit of energy here.
So my question is, if I quit, can I stay in Japan for 3/6 months before finding a new job? My residence card is valid till 2028. If anyone have quit and have taken a bit of break between, please do let me know the process. I really hope to find some help.
