Biking Kawaguchiko – how far can you go?

Hi everyone! I’m planning a day trip to Kawaguchiko from Tokyo and have read that renting a bike to cycle around Lake Kawaguchiko is a popular option. I have a couple of questions:

  1. If I’d like to visit destinations that are a bit farther from the lake (for example, Arakurayama Sengen Park or Oshino Hakkai), would it be practical to bike there from Kawaguchiko Station? Is it acceptable to leave the bike parked once I arrive?

  2. Are there designated bike parking areas at popular attractions around Lake Kawaguchiko (such as the Maple Corridor, Oishi Park, or Yagizaki Park)?
