Hii there, I am a 18f from the Netherlands wanting to travel to Tokyo, Japan in January of 2027 or maybe even 2028 (I know ):< ) I honestly have done a lot of research but considiring I have never really traveled before mainly car vacations or roadtrips that just required me to have a big bag for my stuff, I know what I need but because I dont have anything yet, it has made the trip a lot more expensive + I am still in school so either I go during school and possibly miss important information for exams and stuff and I become a zombie the moment the weather is above 23 degrees Celsius, so I will not go during summer or other way to busy seasons.
Anyways I was planning on going around 8 nights in the beginning of Januari (winters are quite similair from what I have read maybe even a little better in Japan) and I am planning on buying a warmer jacket here in the netherlands but things like gloves I can buy in Japan (because it is cheaper there) (my winter coat is a ski coat and on a casual 10 minute walk at a reasenable pace I end up sweating a lot).
I have already chosen a hotel, may change, but I don't think it will.
But here is the issue, THE MONEY, it is expensive, only plain tickets and hotel are already around 1500 euros and because of what i mentioned above I don't have a lot of travel things I have found a good deal for suitcases (120 euros for 1 small suitcase and 1 big one) already and a travel adapter that will suit the Japanese 100 v. And some other things like e-sim, air-tags etc. It is almost 2000 euros already and I havent even done anything yet.
But other than that (I work part time and with school I dont have a lot of time to work) my question is how much money will I further need to spend to enjoy my time in Japan. Things like activities, how much money you should take out at the ATM or how much money to put on my suica card.
