Best matcha powders + cult-fav Tokyo spots (teahouses, jbeauty, gyukatsu)

Hello! I’m traveling to Tokyo soon, about two weeks from now, and wanted to ask for some recs that aren’t just the usual super-touristy places.

  1. Matcha powders/stores/teahouses – Ippodo and marukyu koyamaen keep popping up, but I’d love to hear if there are other good powders locals actually buy-and if you've tried and loved any matchas, what tasting notes they give. Also, I'm wondering if you guys know any good teahouses with the best matcha flavored desserts!
  2. Beauty products – Any products that are a must? I know about the obvious stuff like Shiseido, DHC cleansing oil, and drugstore sunscreens, but am wondering what else people get when they’re in Tokyo (especially things harder to get outside Japan).
  3. Gyukatsu restaurants – Are there lesser-known but amazing places locals go for gyukatsu? I don’t mind waiting in line if it’s actually worth it. Someplace that isn't just mediocre and well known, but acutally good and worth trying.

Basically, I’m hunting for cult favorites—the places and products people love about because they’re genuinely good, not just because they’re trending online. Would love any insider tips!

Thanks in advance
