Me and 2 other friends are doing a month long Japan trip, from the end of Nov to the end of Dec. From that month, we've decided to take 6 days off the standard itinerary to be a bit more adventurous.
We're spending those 6 days in Kyushu, renting a car from Fukuoka and planning to drive around the whole island, ending back in Fukuoka.
The current itinerary has us staying overnight in camps, or ryokans. We're staying at Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Oita and Fukuoka (in order).
I wanted to ask what are some spots we should definitely check out. Any trails, or nature spots. Any famous camping sites, or ryokans. Any specific roads to take when travelling between cities.
Would love any tips or recommendations!
We're also planning on either renting, or buying camping equipment, so I'd love any recommendations on that as well.
