I want to go to Japan for a week in December. It's an impulse decision since I want more experience travelling alone desperately need some time off work. It'll be my first time in the country so I'm not sure what to expect. I don't know how to speak Japanese. I had a few questions.
- Is it a bad idea to book plane tickets now since it's only 3 months out? How far out do I need to look for hotels?
- How much Japanese should I know before going? That part does make me the most nervous.
- I realize a week isn't a lot of time, given that 2 days will be taken up for the flight. Should I stay in Tokyo if it's my first time there?
- How hard is it to learn how to use chopsticks?
