Need help with a route from Kyoto to Fujiyoshida

Hello All!

My wife and I are heading to Japan in October and are starting our journey in Osaka, and then heading up to Kyoto after a few days.

After Kyoto we are heading to Fujiyoshida. We are wondering about the best way to go from Kyoto to Fujiyoshida. Any help would be awesome and much appreciated!

My thought was using the Shinkansen Nozomi to Shin-Yokohama Station and then taking the Yokohama Line to Hachiōji Station. Then Chūō Line Fuji-Excursion to Shimoyoshida Station.

Thoughts on that route?
