Three small random questions on my upcoming Japan trip

I will be going to Japan on October 2nd and I have a couple small questions:

  1. We will be taking a car from Tokyo to Takayama/Kanazawa around October 7 to 11, I don't think that I need winter tires, would that be okay?
  2. We will be in Takayama during the autumn festival, would it be easy enough to find a decent restaurant at that time, or should I make a reservation for a restaurant? (And if so, do you have recommendations? :))
  3. A bit random: but I'm taking my Switch 2 with me and I would like to play the new Pokemon when it launches the 16h of October when traveling, would it be easy to buy a English/international copy of the game in Kyoto/Osaka, and where could I buy one?
