My husband and I are going on our honeymoon to Japan mid-to-late October this year! For one of our days, we plan on having 1 day to ourselves to do whatever we want. He plans on thrifting and exploring shops in Tokyo, but I'm not as into that, so I'm planning on a little solo day trip! I'd like to visit somewhere outside of Tokyo that I can walk around, sightsee, and have a lowkey adventure. I'd love to go somewhere that gives Studio Ghibli vibes (\not the Ghibli park or museum, we're doing those on different days*). Where would you all suggest checking out?
We won't have a car so it would need to be somwhere accessible via transit. Some more specifics of what I enjoy doing/what I imagine myself doing:
- Nature walks outside
- Walking around neighborhoods and checking out local shops/restaurants in small towns
- Birdwatching
- Nice photography spots for nature, plants, flowers, trees, the ocean/beach, etc.
Thank you in advance! 🙂
