Heading: Japan Trip – Osaka → Kitakyushu (Conference) + Kyoto/Osaka Tips?

Hi everyone,

I’m heading to Japan this September for a 4-day conference in Kitakyushu. Plan is:
• Fly into Osaka (KIX)
• Take the Shinkansen to Kitakyushu (want the bullet train experience!)
• After the conference, spend 2 extra days exploring Kyoto & Osaka
• Fly back home from Osaka

Thinking of getting the Sanyo–San’in JR Pass since it covers Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and most of Kyushu.

Any tips on whether the pass is worth it for this plan? Also, must-see spots or food recs in Kitakyushu, Kyoto, or Osaka would be super helpful! Also, best way to find the correct tike tables for shinkansen will be helpful.
