  1. This is assuming Gedo gets his shit together and starts booking compelling storylines again

  2. Two things for me –

Uemura should be retiring Tanahashi if he isn’t wrestling for a title. I do think they might be leaning towards a Tsuji vs Tana angle, but if that’s the case, I rather Uemura fight for the Global title. Gabe vs Finlay doesn’t need to be for a title.

With regards to my previous point, I’m not actually sure how I feel about Goto winning the title back. I think that spot would go much better to, again, Uemura or Tsuji. IMO one of Uemura/Tsuji should fight for the world title, and the other retiring Tana.

Other than that, I like this card. I do hope SANADA and EVIL are indeed tag champions by Wrestle Kingdom.

  3. Narita as TV Champion again doesn’t sit right with me.

I’d have him win the NEVER belt personally

  4. Would rather see like GOK in for Drilla, but great card otherwise and can definitely see a few of those matches happening. The all LIJ Tag Title match is a wonderful idea I hadn’t thought about.

  5. Damn. Hard to find any holes in this card. That Former LIJ v. Former LIJ tag match for the straps would cook. Gedo who!? You’re hired!

  6. I’d watch that card. I’d go with EVIL vs Finlay in a blowoff match where the loser’s faction must disband, finally putting an end to HoT, and then Ishii and TAICHI vs Shingo and Hiromu for the tag titles though. Then if they can convince Omega to do it, do Omega vs Kidd II with Kidd getting his won back.

  7. Top to bottom that is a really, really solid card. Love your work with the graphics!

The card I have in my head is very similar to this, with a few changes:

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship – Takeshita (c) vs Uemura

IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship – Kidd (c) vs Narita

IWGP Tag Team Championship – EVIL & SANADA (c) vs Bishamon

NEVER Openweight Championship – Oleg (c) vs Moloney vs Takagi vs Oiwa

Special singles match – Finlay vs Umino

Hiromu is the one piece I’m not entirely sure about, you could almost put him in any situation and it would work.

  8. Sorry mate, but the heavyweight tag team championships are going the KOB, and they’re also winning world tag league

  9. Although I love seeing Goto get his flowers they really need to put another young gen talent in the main event.

  10. Assuming Despy breaks the defences record against Hiromu pre-WK which leads to a dejected Hiromu teaming up with Shingo for WTL and I’m on board with the shitdrizzlers winning the tag titles for a LIJ reunion over having the division focus on KOB and Black Saints (although aside from Tsuji being pegged for bigger things the real best team the company could put together is Shingo/Tsuji, so they could still load Despy/Hiromu or a different Hiromu match up there)

I dunno how the midcard titles will shake out but I’m kind of hoping that we get Narita vs GoK and Oleg vs Oiwa – doable if ELP defends the TV title against Robbie and Fujita before dropping it and GoK graps Oleg to build their feud up more

  11. I agree that Oiwa is going after the TV title and Ren is an interesting choice to hold it. I do think it’s a little more likely Callum is going for the never title to give his dickhead character some gold and get UE rep on the card. Maybe a six man title match between War Dogs and UE would make sense to add.

I think Uemura’s a better pick to retire Tana but I also think there’s a good chance they try and pop a number in December by having Tanahashi’s last singles match main event a show based around it. Then at the dome they’d do a meaingful tag intergenerational six man where he teams with former rivals like Nagata and Okada vs Uemura, Tsuji, and Umino.

  12. Personally, Id have Narita vs Boltin for the Never title, Oiwa vs ELP vs Moloney vs Yoshi for the TV title and Despe/Fujita/Akira/Wato for the Jr title. Other then that the card looks great. The only thing I’d change that’s probably going to stay a dream, would be having Tanahashis last match a tag team match between Tana/Shibata vs Nakamura/Okada, which is most likely not going to happen so it’s either Tsuji or Yuya.

  13. Good card. Only thing I would want to change is swapping Tsuji or Uemura with Goto.

I feel like it’s smarter long term to have one of the younger generation get the big win at WK.

  14. **IWGP World Championship** KONOSUKE TAKESHITA (c) vs Hirooki Goto

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuya Uemura vs Yota Tsuji & Tetsuya Naito

**IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship** Gabe Kidd (c) vs Shota Umino

**IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship** El Desperado (c) vs YOH

**IWGP Tag Team Championship** Taichi & Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL & SANADA) vs TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr. & Ryohei Oiwa) vs Shingo Takagi & Hiromu Takahashi

**NEVER Openweight Championship** Ren Narita (c) vs Boltin Oleg

**Street Fight** David Finlay vs Callum Newman

**IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship** HOUSE OF TORTURE (DOUKI & SHO) (c) vs Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita)

  15. I really like this but:

I really hope Gabe Kidd doesn’t still have the Global title by then

I’d prefer Takeshita to already be out of the WHC scene

    No KOB?

  16. Would love this card – especially if it’s a heel Shota vs Yuya, that would be a great story

  17. I entered this post and somehow didn’t even realize these were predictions, my brain is switched off. These graphics are so good!

  18. I think Aaron Wolf will get someone lower on the card like a young lion for his debut. Probably wouldn’t have him debut in a 20 minute match where he has to sell his limbs (and most likely lose).

  19. Tragically 2025 NJPW that yes, two of best of the next gen would be doing a nothing match third on the card instead of winning the belt in the main event to solidify them.
