Education groups urge action against “Japanese First” rhetoric in schools

2. Yes! No place for this in education. 

3. I sincerely appreciate the effort. However, I worry a LOT more work is required than these educators expect. It won’t be enough to merely tell students not to say hateful things. Students need an ongoing program to teach them how to function in a world where political parties actively and intentionally lie about minorities to get more power. Otherwise, all students will learn is that hate is okay as long as it is phrased in certain terms.

4. Is the Japanese First rhetoric going to teach about how Japan colonised the Ainu and Ryukyu? Or is that too “Japanese First” for them?

5. I suspect that the Education Ministry tacitly approves of this discrimination, and avoids making any written policy to make their hands look clean.

6. Does Kyodo News have a Japanese version anywhere? Like, is there a Japanese version of this article anywhere?

7. Oh no, not Japan too! Please look at Europe, look at my country, nothing is changed regardless of our right government that has been shouting white Dutch people first for 25 years, but there’s so much hatred here!
