My initial plan is to spend 4 nights in Osaka, spend day 4 in Nara, come back to sleep in Osaka and the morning of day 5, head to Kyoto. I feel like maybe changing hotels to sleep in Kyoto right after Nara makes more sense?
My initial idea was to sleep in Osaka in case we're back in the city super early and can walk around some areas we have truly enjoyed the day before. But that means taking 1.5h to get from hotel in Osaka to hotel in Kyoto during day 5, and given that we're only spending 3 nights in Kyoto, maybe it makes more sense to add one more night in Kyoto right after Nara.
