Kyoto Half Day Trip – Kurama-Kibune vs Uji

I'll be in Kyoto for 4nights in the first week of November. My dates coincide with a long weekend in Japan so I'm bracing myself for a super crowded Kyoto experience.

While planning Kyoto days, i realized it won't be possible to do Uji and Kurama-Kibune hike, both in this trip, need to pick one.

I can go to Fushimi Inari early morning and then spend the remaining day in Uji – visit Byodo-in temple and museum, maybe hike up to Dakichiyama and Asahiyama Kannon, try some match desserts etc.

OR

I can go to Kurama, hike up to the temple, maybe take the cable car and then hike down to Kibune, finishing with an early dinner.
Even though it's on the opposite side of Fushimi Inari I'm guessing it should be okay since my stay is closer to Demachiyanagi.

Which of these would you say is a more rewarding experience? We're a mid-30s couple, moderate fitness, love being in nature.
Or if you have other half day trip options that would be quieter and better, please do recommend.
