November Itinerary Help (First Timer)

I'm a college student traveling on somewhat of a budget with one friend to Japan from November 14th to November 29th. I'm flying into Osaka on the 15th and leaving from Tokyo on the 29th. I have a conference in Tokyo on the 25th, other than that I don't have any obligations.

I'm debating on how to split my itinerary and how long to stay in each area. I was thinking that I would just stay in a hotel in Kyoto (seems cheaper and better than Osaka hotels? plus they're only 30 mins apart). I was thinking of maybe doing 6 days in Kyoto/Osaka and 9 days in Tokyo. I will likely stay in Asakasa in Tokyo as I heard that's the best area.

I know that November is known for the fall foliage, I'm not really sure if there's any specific area or things to do that I would be able to see that in? What things in general should I do as a first-timer?

– I am not really interested in nightlife or anything, I don't drink

– I am definitely looking to do a lot of clothes shopping (streetwear and denim, etc). I hear Ginza is good for that stuff, there's the big Uniqlo there.

– Architecture and nature is nice, I'd definitely like to see Mt.Fuji.

– I am interested in possibly going to one of the more rural areas for a day or two, kind of a different vibe from tokyo and osaka. Anyone have any recommendations for this?

– I'm into cars, Tokyo has a really good car scene so if anyone has any recs for this as well I'd appreciate it.

– I love sweets, any recs are appreciated as well

I'm honestly looking for any general advice on how to plan out my itinerary. I booked to Osaka and leaving from tokyo to save myself the 100 dollar ish train ticket, it ended up being cheaper.
