Hey all,
I'll be staying in Tokyo next week from 8/27 – 9/03. Staying in Shinjuku, not far from Shin-Okubo station. No particular plan or itinerary, mostly just want to get away for a week.
That said, I am curious if there are any events or specific destinations that are worth considering or hitting up during the last week of August. This will be my third time in Tokyo, but my previous two trips have mostly been a lot of general shopping and eating. No suggestions are off the table. I also don't mind a couple hours of train hopping if need be.
More specifically, knowing how miserably hot Tokyo can get this time of year, any good indoor destinations I could look into to fill a few hot afternoons?
Lastly, I like to go for an extended walk or a short jog in the mornings. Trying to get back in shape a bit! When I went earlier this year I walked the Gyoen National Garden, so if nothing else I might just hit that up. But any other nice walks or jogs in that vein would be welcome to check out!
Much obliged ahead of time for any and all suggestions, and apologies if the request is ultimately too broad.
