This is the Omakase from Tenzan 89. This is $49. 8 pieces of nigiri, a Toro roll and miso soup. Without a doubt, these were the largest pieces of nigiri I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to tell from the photo. I couldn’t eat them in one bite. The fish was good. Not a big uni fan as to me it tastes like creamy ocean. The toro piece was also a little weird.and look at the eel usually there is way more caramelization. Roll was fine. Toro was very lose.
Rice was good, warm, well seasoned. At $50 there are just better options. At 35 west you can get 10 pieces and a toro roll for the same exact price.
