Getting a Pixel 10 in Japan? Suica regionlock workaround?

This question is probably for People living in Japan.

To my understanding all "new'ish" Pixel phones have the Sony chip to use Suica. But do to licensing only the phones made for the japanese market get access to it, just like all other android phones.

SInce the Pixel 10 just launched and I want to upgrade anyways. Would it be possible to purchase the phone in japan and get the same access? Are there any downsides to getting a phone from japan? Like a region lock or any other licencing issues when going back to Europe?
