I’ve kept on hearing it around Japan and now can’t find it on the internet. It’s really annoying me because I love it and want a better quality version 😂. Anyone know what it’s called?
Minoru Mukaiya is the composer of many station sounds.
Here you can get a short impression of his work:

There used to be a song to this naming all the stations on the Yamanote line. It was on YouTube but I can’t seem to find it now.

Hmm this is my first time hearing this.
You heard it “around Japan”?
Whereabouts exactly? Because the country is not that small.
鉄道唱歌
鉄道 = Railway
唱歌 = Song
At Shinagawa Station, it is still used today as the departure melody for both up and down platforms on the Tokaido Line.

Here’s a better quality version of the specific chime you posted. https://youtu.be/mbkzpjd1KI8
