Why are people answering their door? Is this a cultural thing? I don’t answer my door unless it’s someone I know, or uniformed people delivering something to me. That’s it. Why would anyone answer their door otherwise? Curiosity? Cops do their rounds which is useless, so ignore it. NHK people are a threat so ignore that. What do people honestly have to gain from entertaining random door ringers? So much drama around this. I think people are lonely maybe and hoping for a friend? The fact that people generally have an intercom, locked externals doors, an elevator, and another door for protection, makes me wonder where all this door drama comes from. Even when I lived in the states I didn’t answer my door because “only the enemy knocks” and I sure don’t want to discuss if I found Jesus. I don’t even answer my phone unless I know the caller. Better leave a message if it’s important.
