I am currently looking for a job in Fukui Prefecture, because i will be marrying my Japanese spouse come this December, and then later we will apply for the marraige-visa. I am U.S. citizen, but the ideal situation right now is to look for a job in Fukui and get a work-visa. The reason being is that if i do apply for the marriage-visa after we register our marriage – I must leave the country until the marraige visa has been issued. I've been applying left and right for jobs in Fukui, and since the school year has closed it's been a bit challenging. I have a bachelors and masters-in-progress in Public Policy / Public administration, and i am hoping that i can find the right role. I am not necessarily picky, but I have 10 years of professional teaching experience (K-12), and I think finding a school is probbaly the most ideal situation. I already have my degree apostilled and about to complete my masters next year. Is there anyway i can connect with an expatriate community in the area where i can land some interview or network with others? Thank you so much.
