Hi all! New Redditor but old Japanese soul who grew up in shitamachi Tokyo.
Does anyone else have a hard time finding a good range of English books here as well? I just visited the main Kinokuniya branches in Shinjuku and the prices for newly released paperbacks are absurd… Is everyone paying these prices or waiting for their next vacation to stock up on books?
I’m trying to avoid Amazon and am praying for a well curated independent bookstore with English books to open up soon…
Just needed to express my frustration and hopefully find some like-minded people in a similar pickle.
