TL;DR Rental Kowaihito, a Japanese company, offered to rent intimidating individuals to help customers resolve disputes. The company’s website and lack of transparency raised concerns about legality and potential criminal activity, leading to its abrupt closure.

A guy from a band I saw once had this in his profile, I didn’t know it was an actual organization lol
Isn’t that just a private security company?
Mmm… I’m just gonna put my own hand over my own mouth and drag myself out of this conversation before I make a joke that’ll get me cancelled.
If they are a Nationalist, there’s nothing more scary than a freeloading Eikawa teacher 😆

Recently, so-called *“zegen accounts”* have been trending on Japanese Twitter. *Zegen(女衒)* is an old term dating back to the Edo period, referring to brokers who sold women to brothels or inns and arranged them for prostitution.
In short, these people today are those who introduce women to hostess clubs or soaplands, but on Twitter they continuously post content that appeals to women, such as:
* “The police won’t protect you from sexual crimes.”
* “Women are suffering domestic violence from men.”
* “Women are being looked down on.”
* “Foreigners are targeting women.”
By repeatedly posting things like this, they attract female followers. From among those followers, they then select suitable women and guide them into the sex industry.
These posts are receiving tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of likes and are spreading rapidly. The service called *“Rental Kowai Hito”* (“Rent-a-scary person”) emerged within this trend, yet their website contained no information at all about what kind of company was operating it.
Oh finally a job for me….oh….guess not
This just screams Yami Baito…
>*“What if someone rents scary people to settle a dispute, but the other party doesn’t back down, and so they rent scary people too? Is there a chance that you’d have scary people on opposite sides who’re actually coworkers with each other?”*
