Can I go with my wife if she gets a Working Holiday Visa?

I'm 33 so I can't apply for a WHV. But can I go with her and stay in Japan with a legal status applying for another type of visa for these cases?
Would it allow me to work aswell? (although I probably wouldn't need it because I work from home and I earn enough for living in Japan)
