Moving out – Kamakura, Yokohama, or Tokyo

I live in Yokohama city and work near Kamakura. It takes me about 1h30m to get to the office, but I do work remote 50% of the days, and about 3 days a month in Tokyo. That is, out of 20 days I go to the office about 8 to 10 times. Not sure whether to prioritize distance to work, leisure during remote days and weekends, or something in between. The main problem is social life. Despite I want to improve that aspect, I have decided to find an apartment instead of sharehouses. I am a bit tired of sharing common spaces with strangers that may or may not be friendly. I used to live in Nakano area, where I enjoyed my free time a lot. I had many acquintances nearby, and people at the sharehouse I was living in was super friendly and outgoing. Plus, my close friends were still not married and nearby, but things are different now and I spend much more time by myself than ever.

If I move to Kamakura: work is closer, access to nature, slow life / not so many places to hang out or meet new people (including via apps) and many tourists.

If I move to a different area within Yokohama: work would get closer than now, and a convenient city life / hard to meet new people (same as anywhere else?), other than shopping malls and the harbour area there is not much going on (after living here for 6 months). I feel Yokohama has everything and nothing at the same time.

If I move back to Tokyo: access to all kinds of events, shops and movie theaters, the vibes change a lot as soon as you go to a different area, very walkable / longer commute and chances that my everyday life is not so different from living in any other place because I will never get back the lifestyle I had in Nakano.
