I really love animals and learning about them, but what I've seen so far makes me not want to give a cent to facilitate the animal abuse going on in most places.
I've looked around but have only found recommendations of where NOT to go.
Does anyone have any recommendations for zoos/aquariums in Japan that could actually be called ethical? Or does it just not exist here?
Meaning, the animals have enough space, they have enrichment, they're not forced to interact with guests, etc. The priority is put on their welfare rather than the amusement of the guests.
It can be anywhere in Japan. Small local ones are great too.
Thank you!
