Child care leave in Japan.

I am currently employed part-time on a one-year renewable contract, and all my insurances are paid. My only concern is that I read an article stating that, in order to qualify for childcare benefits, your contract must be valid until the child turns one year old.

Since I am due to give birth in April 2025, my child will turn one in April 2026. However, my current contract technically expires in November 2025, although it is renewable.

Did anyone experience this? I would be very happy to hear your thoughts.
