I’ve been trying to get into NJPW, but I’m a bit confused. I remember hearing about NJPW Strong being a weekly show for the U.S. audience, but when I looked into it recently, it seemed like it was discontinued or restructured. Some sources mention an app to watch NJPW, but others make it sound like there’s no regularly produced weekly show anymore—just PPVs or tours.
So can anyone clarify:
• Does NJPW currently have any kind of weekly TV-style show (in Japan or the U.S.)?
• Is NJPW Strong still a thing in weekly format, or did they stop that?
• What’s the best way to watch NJPW content in the United States right now—both Japanese and U.S. events?
• Is NJPW World the main platform, and does it include everything like Strong on Demand?
Any help or clarification would be appreciated! Just want to know what’s active and how to watch it all from the U.S.

NJPW world is the main platform. You can get 99% of their shows on there. There’s not really a weekly show, there a ‘road to’ shows that lead to a bigger event. Destruction is coming up soon.
I believe Strong is on hiatus right now. NJPW used to have matches aired on AXIS, but I believe that hasn’t been on for a while.
Go back and watch the G1 knockout rounds and finals. Then watch Destruction and any title matches from the road to shows (road to shows are very watchable but don’t force yourself if you’re short on time).

There may be a small amount of out-of-date information there, but it’ll be trivial stuff like info on TAMASHII (the Oceania sub-brand) or references to guys who are no longer in the company.
watching njpw world on a fire tv is the best way for me.
New Japan does tours, they usually do about 2.5-3 weeks on and then 3- 4 weeks off. New Japan strong used to have events every month and a half but with scalping issues and declining viewership it started to become a problem for the to make a lot of money. They do about 4-5 shows a year now. As for where to watch, NJPW world is the best place, you can get it on Roku which is how I put it on my tv or you can watch on your phone the same way. As for the app itself, it’s not very user friendly so if you want to look up recent stuff you need to go to recent and then tap all options. If you want to watch old stuff you have to type in the date, it won’t let you search (most times) by match or even event, so just google the date of what you want to watch and pick the match in the episodes option or just watch the whole tapping. Mind you English commentary is still a new thing so stuff during the nakamura, devitt and even early omega era the English announcers didn’t really exist so you’ll hear a lot in Japanese.
