Language school or Master’s degree in Japan? (Advice needed)

Hello everyone,

I’m 22M with a Bachelor’s degree in Management in Computer Science. Although I don’t have direct work experience in management, I have 5 years of professional experience in US logistics.

I’ve been researching immigration to Japan for some time. I understand it’s not easy and that Japan is not a “wonderland,” but it’s still my dream and I’d love to give it a try.

Currently, I see two main possible paths:

  1. Language school → Work visa (finding a job after studying Japanese).

  2. Master’s degree in Japan (in English) → Work visa.

The challenge is that I have a limited budget of around $15K. From what I’ve seen, finding an affordable Master’s program within that budget is quite difficult. A language school seems more realistic financially, and it would at least allow me to reach a decent level of Japanese by the end of the program.

My question is: Which option would be better in the long run for building a career and life in Japan?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
