Which Ryokan in Tokyo is the better choice?

I'm traveling to Japan April 2-12th with my 12 year old son.

We are flying into Tokyo, taking the bullet train to Kyoto, and staying at the Hoshinoya Kyoto for 6 nights. THEN we head back to Tokyo for the last 4 nights.

I've narrowed it down to either Yuen Bettei daita in shimokitazawa neighborhood OR Hoshinoya Tokyo in Otemachi.

I would really appreciate any advice you have to help me choose which one 🙏🏼

(We won't be renting a car and will be utilizing either private drivers or tour companies.)
