Hey folks, my wife and I are gonna spend about 2.5 months in Japan — around 40 days in Tokyo and another 40 in Osaka. We’re trying to figure out which neighborhoods you’d recommend for staying, and also what’s the best way to rent a short-term place (other than Airbnb). Is there a cheaper option people usually go for?
Also, if you’ve got tips on grocery stores, restaurants, or just day-to-day stuff that might be useful, I’d love to hear them!
We’re not planning to do the full tourist schedule, more like living there for a couple months with a routine since we’ll be working too. We spent a month in Japan last year and loved it, so now we want to stay longer. A nice neighborhood with supermarkets and restaurants, about 30–40 mins from the city center, would be perfect.
