Now Japan is a good country with the highest quality of life in Asia and one that competes with many developed countries around the planet. The housing there is cheaper and not that expensive or nightmare like in many other developed countries where finding a house to rent is near impossible. However despite this status Japan is vanishing slowly from the Glory that it had build in the 80s.
The country is not innovating any more and no Japanese company has been competitive lately unless we put a exception for Toyota but then BYD from China is winning the game in capturing huge shares of the market. Japan is also suffering from high debt and while it is owned by itself, the country will not have unlimited fiscal ability to borrow, one day it will just collapse; so the question begs, is Japan bound to remain that way?
I understand that 80s era was an era that will never appear in Japan but isn't it possible or any hope for a new kind of Golden Age for Japan? A age where Japan re-innovates and begins to dominate the global market where their exports grow and their GDP-Growth does too. After all high growth allows Japan to grow it's GDP and counter it's high debt which is highest than it's GDP.
It's old glory for being known as the Land of Innovation is already gone since South Korea and China have done more better or the Economy is not even shining for people to see Japan with envy except less developing countries of course.
I don't know but then when I look at history. Japan was always on times where it was falling but then shined again and falling and then shined again. So maybe is this a cycle of their history? I don't know.
I am not a weeb because I have never watched anime but it was Japan that introduced me to Asia and it's continent which made me realize that Asia is the best continent for the future. Which is why I love Asia
Disclaimer: I am not saying Japan is worse or in a apocalypse. The country has many good things and unlimited growth is not good too. However it is a lie to say that everything is fine in Japan and if anything, it's status is a reminder that the nation must change and grow further.
