  1. At least they had the courtesy of having the lunch break early since most of their customers visit during “real” lunch break hours.

  2. Be me, from a third world country where banks work only from 10 to 15 AND take a lunch break of 1.5 hours…

  3. Great. I *already* have to rake PTO if I ever need to do anything at the bank. Now that window is even smaller **and** the long waits are for a video banker half the time at one of my banks.

  4. Bruh they can fix all of it so easily…..just encourage women to have babies. There country is rich give a salary per child tell there 18. At least they will perserve there culture.

  5. Banks will now be open for only 5 hours and everyone in this thread is cheering that on and praying for it to come to their countries? What am I missing?
We pay a ton of fees for their services already. The wait times and business hours are already horrendous. They *charge me* money to deposit **cash** into my own bank account, from inside the branch!

  6. Labor shortages get worse until you pay staff to levels in which they start having more kids

  7. Idk this seems fine to me. Maybe it will encourage more banks to adopt more procedures online.

  8. Yes let’s close down during the one hour 9-5 workers might actually be able to make it to the bank without using leave. Makes total sense.

  9. Looking at the working desks of bank staff gives me a shudder. I don’t blame anyone not being keen to chain themselves to that office existence.

  10. i like how most people in this thread hate workers right when there is slight inconvience for them.
