I tried applying for Ahamo online, failed and even after 2 hours with the chat support they couldn’t figure out why I kept getting an error.
Went to Docomo store to try applying for Docomo so that I can switch to Ahamo later. Everything was going swimmingly until they asked for my card. I had two non-Japanese cards with me – one debit, one credit. Both failed. They told me it was because my cards don’t support direct debit.
What cards would support this? I’m unaware. Or are there any other workarounds?
