Soo. The question is, is using an unlimited phone internet hotspot instead of regular router a bad idea? I just moved and I'm currently searching for an apartment, now I'm torn between getting a docomo plan with unlimited data and calling it a day and getting a cheaper plan and a regular Internet. My friends are currently battling a horrible technical router setup in their new apartment that might lower their Internet quality even with the best provider, and that scared me off – but at the same time, they said they had made a mistake of getting a plan with GTN and their data flow inside the apartments (both previous and current) is terrible, patchy and unreliable. Would that be a building issue, with walls or height being in the way? Or just a shitty provider? Do you think docomo would do better? I need to get the phone number ASAP but… yeah… they're now traumatised by Internet detox and I'm equally traumatised by the thought of not being able to play all the video games where a single update is well over 60GBs.
