Staying in Japan after School finishes

I have a question for anyone who studied in Japan. Has anyone here finished their language school/university but stayed in Japan even after graduation?

My student visa is valid until January 2026, but I’ll finish school at the end of September 2025. I’m wondering if I can still legally stay in Japan until the visa expiration date, or if finishing school means my visa is no longer valid.

If I decide to stay, what could happen? Has anyone experienced this situation?
