Hi,
me and my friends (total of 6 people) want to visit Japan next May (2026) for our first time. We didn’t buy fly tickets yet, i want to buy them around November (flying from Vienna to Osaka and back from Tokyo to Vienna, most probably). I did itinerary for us but i want to ask, if it is possible to visit everything i have planed, or if you have any recommendations etc.
-
Day Osaka – i know about jetlag, so the first day will be just chilling around, having some food, stroll around city and visiting Osaka castle in the evening.
-
Day Osaka – Himedži and Kobe (temples, museums – recommendations are welcome)
-
Day Osaka – Universal studio and Dotonbori in the evening
-
Day Osaka – Osaka aquarium, Shitenno-ji, Sumiyoshi Taisha, Umeda Sky
-
Day Osaka – day trip to Koya (or Koyasa?)
-
Day relocation to Kyoto in the morning – Kinkaku-ji, Kiyomizu dera, pontocho alley
-
Day Kyoto – Fushimi Inari Taisha, Bamboo Forejt Arashiyama and Monkeys, Ninenzaka street
-
Day Kyoto – day trip to Nara
-
Day relocation to Kanazawa in the morning – Nagamachi, Geisha district
-
Day Kanazawa – Omicho market, Kenroku-en, visiting sea side
-
Day relocation to Tokyo in the morning – Shibuya and Shibuya Sky, Kokjo
-
Day Tokyo – Asakusa, Ueno zoo, Sky tree
-
Day Tokyo – Samurai Museum, Shinjuku gyoen, Sumo or Kabuki in the evening
-
Day relocation to Kawaguchiko in the morning – Arakurayama Sengen park, stroll around lake, visiting museums maybe
-
Day going back to Tokyo, hotel near Narita
-
Day flight back to Europe in the morning
Is it allright? Manageable?
We dont really know, if we will visit Japan ever again, on the other hand, i don’t want to rush through every activity.
We would also love to participate on tea ceremony, cooking class and some other activities.
I have seen a lots of videos and read mamy itineraries, but i think it only made mess in my head and now o want to see everything, so i am scared, that i’ve overdone it.
All the places i have mentioned are must see for me. Except Koya, which i dont know a lot about, i just read that it is wort it.
Thank you.
