We have this full set of Hina dolls from my Japanese grandparents. From what I can tell, it has all of the characters and I’m sure the rest of the accessories, like the trees, are somewhere in the mess of boxes (not pictured are the screens and musicians instruments +many more boxes of tiny accessories all wrapped up). I believe these are 1930s but I would love to have a more exact date if possible. I am also trying to find out if these are the Kyoto or Tokyo versions.
I really just want to find out if it’s worth it to put the time and effort in listing these on eBay. I see some listings, but I’m not sure how big the market is and if it’s worth it. The other option is just basically giving it all away on Marketplace or keeping it as an heirloom. My mom is tired of having all of these boxes take up space, but it would be really difficult for me to take them with me, as I live abroad. We tried to donate them to some Japanese museums and cultural centers but they have no need for them.
