As some of you guys might have experienced yesterday, it seems transferring your current eSIM to your new device isn’t working.
I was stuck for an hour yesterday after receiving my new iPhone air. Quite a disappointing start I have to say.
As a result, Docomo has officially announced they would halt sales of all iPhone 17 models as Japan only supports eSIM for all models, unlike many other countries.
They are currently working on a fix, pretty frantically I can imagine as they are losing a lot of money as we speak… Apple won’t be very happy about this either.
I hope this news helps ease some frustration and confusion for some new iPhone owners…it’s not you, it’s Docomo.
