Japan Universities Options

Long story short, I'm in a japanese language school located in kyoto right now, 6 months from now i'll be graduating from my current language school. I've taken EJU and received sub par results… And im not going to take the november EJU and will be taking N2 in december. Honestly i'm quite lost and really want to enter university here and if there were other options then more likely a move to China but i'm hesitant due to censorship and media.

I looking to get into a Mechanical Engineering Major and my 1st option was Meiji which i tried to apply but apparently I needed TOEFL (Which I took at a later date and got 95/120) and by the time my results were released the application deadline has passed, my next option was Hosei Univeristy but unfortunately they have stopped accepting undergraduates for aviation, engineering & science and mechanical engineering. My 3rd option is Kyoto Sangyo Univeristy, an easy option that my language school has connections with but I'm looking to move to tokyo since I'm not satisfied with the quiet life in tokyo and wanted a move towards somewhere more hectic and busy city which is Tokyo (Also I have a few friend there).

I was wondering if anyone has gone into more research on Japanese universities that are easy to get into and worth a shot for a student with sub par EJU grades. Universities such as waseda, keio, Todai beyond me and I wanted peoples opinion and experiences on universities they have attended. I'm willing to put in alot of effort in Japan & Japanese but so far It just seems that my future here isn't meant to be.
