3 nights in Tokyo itinerary review

Please see anything we missed or you would recommend. First time in Japan. Two Gen Xs who like sushi, history and culture to experience.

Fri Sept 26 around 5 or 6pm check in the Comfort Hotel Tokyo Higashi Nihombashi

Afternoon/Evening: short walk t Asakusa Senso-ji for temple atmosphere, Nakamise shopping street (traditional snacks & souvenirs) .

Sat Sept 27 — Tokyo: Edo & cultural museum

AM: Edo-Tokyo Museum (history of Edo → modern Tokyo) — deep context on Tokugawa → Meiji transitions

PM: Ueno: Tokyo National Museum (Japanese art & antiquities) and stroll Ueno Park

PM: dinner with friends from Seattle

Sun Sept 28 — Tokyo: Imperial & traditional neighborhoods

AM: Imperial Palace East Gardens (history of the shogunate/castle grounds)

PM: Kagurazaka or Yanaka for old-Tokyo atmosphere; evening in Nihonbashi (merchant quarter history).
