If you’re pregnant in Japan – what should you do?

Hi everyone,

If you're in Japan and realize you're pregnant. I heard there’s a free pregnancy check up, but you have to go to the city office (I’m not sure what it’s called in Japanese) for you to ask the people there to get that book or keychain thing?

Does anyone have tips on what to do if you’re pregnant here? Like, what to say at the city office, or what the process is called? If you go doctor, what need know? How to know if your hospital is private or public to avoid hugee fees. Any advice would be really helpful.
