Reasons to visit the botanical gardens

1. Kyoto botanical garden is an amazing place!! Beautiful all year around, quiet, not touristy and cheap. It’s more like a beautiful park than a botanical garden. The conservatory is also really beautiful with the different world climates and plants.

2. We were probably the only non-local people when we went lol, the place is completely unknown to foreign tourists. Great to spend a pleasant and quiet day. Some of the flowers were not in bloom in autumn, and I understand funding was poor so the upkeep is not the best, but there are exhibitions throughout the year I think.

3. The room with the air conditioner set to 16 degrees was also a highlight.
