Moved to Japan for a student exchange earlier this month, and today I went to a dermatologist for a consult at a hospital satellite clinic in Shinjuku.
Got in, gave them my insurance card, waited, went in, asked my question, got my answers, left. Passed by the receptionist and right out the door with no comment.
Now, Google says that in theory I should've paid a consult fee, except nobody mentioned that in the clinic, nor stopped me or anybody else I saw from leaving (that i noticed). So my question is, am I good to go and just overthinking this, or am I going back there in thr morning and begging for mercy?
This is my first encounter with anything medical here so I have no idea whats baseline covered by insurance and what isnt. Any insight appreciated.
