While rushing to work in Tokyo I was passing through a narrow section of the footpath on my bicycle. A middle-aged man was walking with his arms flailing from side to side and his arm knocked into the side of my handle bar. I was traveling at medium speed but he yelled “Itai!”
I guess he chased after me because at the intersection a little bit further ahead he scolded me so I apologized. I kept apologizing and he was quite angry but he wasn’t injured and told me to be careful. He didn’t call police or ask for my info etc. I honestly feel really bad and regret that I didn’t stop to check he’s okay. I acknowledge I was in the wrong especially as I was on a footpath.
Do you think anything will happen or how is this situation normally handled?
