Need a Reality Check on Job Search and Visa Situation

Okay I live in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka. Currently still live there, has been here from 2019 to pursue degrees. I got my master degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Kitakyushu (bachelor in Architecture back in my home country), and was pursuing doctoral degree in the same major and at the same university.

However, it didn't work out. Journal didn't get accepted over and over, and I ended up just bleeding money paying for tuition where I did nothing (since I finished all the classes and even my dissertation). Talked it out, and decided that I should have that "finished coursework only" status stamped on my education history.

That was around May. My student visa expires on November 25.

The problem that I didn't grasp was the bureaucracy of immigration, specifically:

  • I can't apply to jobs that isn't in my field of study (so only architecture or environmental engineering related), or the visa application may be rejected
  • It's been 4+ years since my actual graduation (from the master degree), and that's another wrench into the application process
  • As I did not graduate (and my graduation is long ago), I also cannot apply for the job-seeking visa from the university

I've been stupidly trying to apply for low-end blue-collar jobs, stuff like warehouse worker, janitorial, etc., thinking that it would be more probable since I've been getting rejected left and right. Only found out last week that first point of needing job in my field of study.

I've even taken the JFT test, thinking that it would help. I passed it, but guess it wasn't as helpful as a JLPT certificate. I couldn't take the JLPT since the test is in December, while my visa's only until November. My language level is around N4-N3, but still flubs the speaking part here and there.

My job experience has only been part time works. In particular, *one* part time work, in this supermarket place, preparing bento and stuff. Been doing this from 2020. I've asked them about full-time employment but they said can't, so there's no help from them.

So to my main reality check needs: TL;DR Is it possible to get a job that secures a visa within roughly 2 months?

I don't mind if you want to be blunt. I'm honestly quite exhausted, and the conflicting information didn't help, so straight up 'no' would be more helpful. If it can be helped, I don't want to leave Japan, but with just 2 months left I have to consider the possibility that I can't get anything and start packing up my life.

P.S. I'm scheduling a visit to the HelloWork office at Tenjin/Hakata, since that's the only HelloWork that has foreigner department (as far as I can find on google maps), not sure if it would help my situation though
