So I've been offered a spot at a university in Tokyo, to pursue Media Studies, and Political Science but what I've seen lately with pressures within Japan makes it a hard choice to move over there for me. I've been before for a long term residency but Ive been reading so much about Sanseito, low wages, even lower wages and limited mobility in Japan as a foreigner that no matter how much I would like to study and live there for the next couple years I find myself questioning is it possible for a foreigner at all? I know Japan relies on foreign workers now more than these days, and seeing the confusion and mix up for fatigue with tourist and seeing some blame put on foreign residents that I really wonder if the trade off of a college with the added hardship is worthwhile. For those living now, and newly moved in residents, how are you feeling? Politically and economically, mentally too with what's been thrown around? ( I'd like to find opinions from other BIPOC residents since experiences differ from the other)
